Craft: Styrofoam Ball Bug

What you need:

• - Styrofoam Balls
• - Wire
• - Beads
• - Chenille stems
• - Glue
• - Markers, paint, construction paper, fabric, etc.

Steps:

1. Carefully push a wire through several styrofoam balls to create your bug's segmented body. The more you use, the bigger your bug will be! Put beads between the balls wrap the wire around beads at the ends to hold your bug together.
2. Then, have an adult help you cut some small styrofoam balls in half to make the feet. Poke one end of your legs into the styrofoam feet and the other end into your bug's body (if you dip the tips in glue, they will stick much better).
3. Now decorate you bug with whatever you want: markers, paint, construction paper, fabric, etc. You can use feathers for wings, buttons for eyes: Whatever you can find around the house and whatever looks good! It's your bug.
